Jack Conrad
President and CEO
With more than 36 years of business and leadership experience, Jack Conrad is a Managing Director at Devonshire Investors, the private investment arm of FMR LLC, the parent company of Fidelity Investments. In this capacity he has served in general management and finance roles at the operating company and holding company levels.
Before rejoining Veritude in February 2008, Conrad held senior leadership positions in several of Devonshire Investors’ current and former operating businesses including BostonCoach, HR Logic, Community Newspaper Company and Veritude, where he was interim President and CEO in 2005. He also has served as Chief Financial Officer of Devonshire Investors. His earlier years with Devonshire Investors were spent as a senior member of its leveraged acquisition team, focusing on strategy, operations and acquisition integration with several of its operating companies.
Prior to Devonshire, Conrad held senior general management positions at both large corporations and smaller entrepreneurial companies. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he holds a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Julio Mazzarella
Chief Financial Officer
An experienced finance executive, Julio Mazzarella has international experience in both Fortune 500 and smaller entrepreneurial companies across the technology, consumer products and health care sectors.
Mazzarella’s expertise encompasses all facets of high finance and business strategy, including capital-raising activities, business valuation, turnarounds, financial restructurings and financial modeling. Most recently, he provided Devonshire Investors and its portfolio companies with financial and business-planning advisory services. He also served as CFO of MetroRED Telecom Group, formerly a Devonshire Investors company and broadband provider to corporations in Latin America.
As treasurer and CFO of WorldSpace Corporation, which pioneered the development of satellite radio and founded a division that later became XM Radio, Mazzarella helped transform the private company of less than 30 employees to a multinational company positioned for a public offering. He also has worked in the United States and abroad for PepsiCola International and Eli Lilly & Co.
A graduate of George Washington University, Mazzarella holds an MBA in finance and international business from New York University.
